Ekström is a multimedia abstract sculptor building up materials to create ethereal worlds, moments, and creatures. She explores the metaphysical and natural world, taking inspiration from dreams she’s had, experiences with meditation, and encounters sitting in the stillness of nature. In both her paintings and sculptures, she uses light as a visual language to portray souls, and connects her work to femininity. Through her intuitive process she is able to explore her subconscious thoughts and feels that she heals parts of herself from creating these works.
