Nikki Ekström is a Massachusetts based artist. She is creating work that aims to figure out her relationship to the idea of spirituality. Through the creation of her work, she is unpacking her beliefs and evaluating her connection to them. She incorporates ink wash, oil paint, sculpture, found materials, and the use of light to create work that breathes their essence into the atmosphere. She finds comfort in the idea of something greater beyond the physical form; it has shaped her into who she is and what she choses to explore in her work.
